Re: Vintage mountain bikes.Whos gottem??
Found this in the garbage dumpster at the townhouses I used to live in back around 94 or 95..Don't know what it is, the closest I've found is similar to an old Rocky Mountain design but it's a little different by the seat post area then those bikes...It's chromoly or something as it super lite and has nice welds...It had a hairline crack on the curve were the small rear tube joins the frame that I had welded (can be seen in pic), I rode it for 10 years or so before I built the bike in the back ground (2003 Specialized P-1 frame).....

I found this TITAN BMX MTB here in Eugene where it was built. It's a 91 I think, They didn't make very many. It's a Fast Track. I made it single speed to putt around on.
Just another feeble attempt by the man to keep a brotha down!!!

That’s rad. They eventually started focusing on travel bikes and became Bike Friday.

Would love to find my old Dirt Bike. It was stolen in Pompano Beach, Florida in about 1996. It's a '92 with the block graphics on a Green frame. Pitchforks, Slam bars, King Headset, GT (DK-style) stem and GT/Profile cranks. Superlace hubs. Would really love to put this back in my collection.

I forgot about that one, it's really close as well other then where the top tube joins the seat post tube...Might have been something made for Canadian market up here....

I bought this single speed converted Trek zx 8000 about a decade ago, sold it to a friend shortly after and regretted it immediately. He texted me a while back asking if I was interested in buying it back. He sold it back to me for what I sold it to him for. I paypaled him and finally got around to picking it up today. Brought him a crowler of a good, local stout as a thank you for taking care of it.
Have some things to swap out still. May get a suspension fork, or a suspension corrected fork for it.

Changed up a few things. Still need to give it a good cleaning.

Re: Vintage mountain bikes.Whos gottem??
Picked up this Vicious Cycles fork for my Seven 26er. Will replace my Bomber fork that developed a hairline crack. Fork has 425mm A2C which is reportedly correct for a 63mm suspension fork for which my frame was built.
Looking forward to the reliability of a rigid fork. Found this one on eBay- apparently Vicious is out of business or at least not answering their phine…

I still have titanium bikes I bought 3-4 years ago that I still haven’t gotten around to doing anything with
One day, hopefully one day I’ll get all these bikes finished. Then find away to get them displayed.

Thanks
It's a nice ride, but it takes some getting used to after not riding it since last winter - 15" stiff frame + rigid non-suspension-corrected fork = short wheelbase + very steep headtube angle = one twitchy SOB. And the V brakes don't have nearly the same amount of modulation as the canti's I'm used to.

Re: Vintage mountain bikes.Whos gottem??
It's strange, if you asked my 18-28 year old self, "would you ever ride a bike with fenders"? The answer would have been an emphatic "NO"!
As a 50+ year old dude, now I'm like....."Damn, those fenders look great, look how they much coverage they provide"!
Getting old is interesting, and never say never.
Love the bike!
Edit: I know how finicky it is to get them work without rubbing!

Re: Vintage mountain bikes.Whos gottem??
I hate fenders with a passion!
But with a bike being my main mode of transportation, and living in a country where it rains every other day on average, and winter usually means sludgy, salty roads, they are an unfortunate necessity.
