1986 Haro Sport
1986 Haro Sport
1986 Haro Sport with 1987 Sport sticker set
This was my daily rider BITD. A lot of memories on this bike. It saw a lot of variations, parts, etc. This is more or less how it was when I stopped riding it back in 1990. When the 87s came out I ordered a sticker set from Haro and painted the head tube black. Now, in hindsight I totally regret doing it. Stripped the paint off the top tube, rear triangle and forks to bare chrome - made sense at the time because the paint wore off quickly.
A lot of original parts: frame, fork, bars, seat, seat post, cranks, BB, nippon breaks.
Non-stock parts: headset, grips, tech-7 levers, Dk stem, Hutch seatpost clamp, Hsing Ta pedals, Dyno pegs, Tioga Comp ST tires, gyro.
Frame: 1986 Haro Sport
Fork: Haro
Bars: Haro
Stem: DK Pro stem
Cranks: Sungino
Chainwheel: Haro Uni-directional
Pedals: Hsing-Ta
Wheels: Peregrine 48s (off grey 87 Master)
Pegs: Dyno
Tires: Tioga Comp-ST
Brake: Diacompe Nippons and Tech 7 locking levers
Seat: Dominator
Post: Haro Fluted
Seat Post Clamp: Hutch

Re: 1986 Haro Sport
It wouldn't really take that much to get the frame/fork back to how they once were(if you sent it to C4 I'm sure it would be under $300)
Just be glad you still have a bike from your youth.....so many members here don't.

Nice ride, and I agree it wouldn't take much to make it perfect again. Wish I still had mine from BITD!

Re: 1986 Haro Sport
updated the pics a while back. managed to get the paint off the dominator. still a blast to ride. just finishing building another 86 sport to resemble the way this one was at one point in my life. Only things I've had to actually buy, tires, grips and uni-chain ring. everything else was lying around.
