1983 Redline PL-24
1983 Redline PL-24
The best riding bike I own!
If you have never ridden a PL24 you don't know what you are missing! This thing cruises along with minimal effort and handles excellent. The frame and fork were found in a shop 5 years ago in mint condition. The previous owner chipped the chrome when he pressed in the headset cups and that is the only flaws. I built up the rest of the bike around the frame and fork and am extremely happy with it.
Frame/Fork: 83 OG chrome PL24
Bars: Rechromed Redline cruiser bars
Stem: Redline Brute
Headset/Lock: Tioga beartrap with Suntour headlock
Seat: Restored Elina/Redline
Clamp: DC 2 piece
Cranks: Redline Flight 185
Pedals: Shimano DX
Wheels: NOS Araya 7x with Bullseye hubs
Tires: Cheng Shin 20x1.75
Brakes: DC Tech 2 lever with MX900 and Mathauser pads
Pads: OG PL24

Built a few of these BITD working at the LBS but never took them out for a ride. One sweet pice of history you have.
Old-Mid-New School it's ALL COOL... Racing- 80's, idle-90's, now just a Cruzin' olde dude on a sweet ride.
If you see smoke by the tail gate you found Grillie G's BBQ-we will feed you.
Soon to be legendary Factory Chicago 44T Skunk Werks Support Rider & fellow OGOAR-Swap Dweller
