1984 Kuwahara Survivor
1984 Kuwahara Survivor
this was picked up from the local market for $40
i paid a bit more than that for it from a mate
84 kuwahara got sr cranks z rims with sr hubs (1983) the rest is a mix of odds and sods i am hunting a gold sugino stem ,a kuwa seat and grips and some gold mx brakes already got the yellow tyres for it
so i got the elina and some funky yellow checked stuff just until i find the yellow kuwahara bolt pads ,still needs stem and brakes but getting there
cleaned the wheels and chucked the yellow tryes on and HELLO its bright

Re: 1984 Kuwahara Survivor
That was truly a great purchase for that money!
At first I thought it was not a Survivor 2.5, maybe not even a Kuwahara-made bike, because I have a Survivor 2.5 myself, but it is this model:
But it happens that I was wrong. I just come across this and confirmed it is really a Kuwahara bike. I'm surprised about this because I have no memories about such frames ever used in Kuwahara BMX bikes.
Congrats again for having scored such a rare Kuwahara!
