Re: 2008 Black Market Riot 26
Awesome bike..I love my black market mob!!
I have heard about using 24" wheels on these bikes too.I want to try just a 24" back wheel and 26 on front.
Its just a big S&M to me.. same factory, metal and welders..

I stripped the frame and fork, polished a bit, and cleared it.

Re: 2008 Black Market Riot 26
do you know what the geometry is after putting on those stiff forks? is it the same as stock geometry? and if it changed? do you know if the bb got lowered a little in height?
In the 80's, I was riding the streets with Eric (Hutch), Jamie (GT), Jody (JMC), & Ronnie (Diamond Back). North Hollywood, CA to The Teen Center in Van Nuys, CA. The best LBS was The Pedal Shop, where I bought my first & only JMC frame, forks, & parts for my very first build...

Re: 2008 Black Market Riot 26
Guys, I missed the last few comments - thanks! I actually just built a Chrome MOB!! Pics and a bike upload will be following soon.
As for the rigid forks. These are the Black Market Contraband, identical to the S&M Pitchfork (I have a set of each). They are 435mm axle to crown, so these are considered a suspension corrected fork. I believe it's roughly the same as a lowered shock to 60mm. When I ran a suspension, I had Arglye 318's. The rigid is a touch quicker, maybe, but the bb height with them is exactly what Black Market advertises. No issues at all.
