Re: 2022 BMXMuseum Calendar Buildoff

Was able to get out this morning and get the creeks out of the Volta on its first ride. I was able to get some nice pics but want better… figured I would slip a small one in here 🙂

Like the polished nipples as well! I think they accent the polished hubs nice with black hoops 😎

Re: 2022 BMXMuseum Calendar Buildoff

Appreciate the comments guys!

It was something I wasn't sure about, I actually ordered the wheels with Black Nipples but there was an issue with them & my mate who owns the shop said he had the Polished ones, we'd talked about it on Messenger but I didn't want to risk it & not be totally happy with them y'know? Decided to try it, if it wasn't for me then he'd swap them out. They really do work haha! Just that little extra to draw the eye, I've tried to keep the Chrome & Polished to a minimum on this build mainly due to the Red Frame I want it to be the focal point but there's a few pieces that are hidden in plain sight & extremely dialled!

Re: 2022 BMXMuseum Calendar Buildoff

Hutchins 24 almost complete. Taking for a test ride tomorrow. I can already tell this bike is going to get some serious cruising miles.
Did some detail work on the Hutch grips ( painted logos red and added donuts) to tie them in with the padset. I should say got my wife too as she's much finer than me with a paint brush.  Simple detail but one of my favourites. Let me know what you think.
I'll add some pics of bike on ride tomorrow.

Re: 2022 BMXMuseum Calendar Buildoff

Test ride around the Bay with my boy. He did 7km on a 12" which was impressive. I forgot how amazing a Hutch Cruiser is to ride. A few tweaks and she'll be perfect. I'm glad I entered this bike otherwise I wouldn't have got it built.

Re: 2022 BMXMuseum Calendar Buildoff

Finally got my bars painted. Pics are with flash and just a light. Slightly lighter but I can live with that. Most times fresh and aged paint will not match completely.
