1982 SE Racing Floval Flyer 24

My grail build

82 SE Floval Flyer, unstamped Landing Gear fork, 1st gen SE cruiser bars, 13/16 SE knurled post, 180 Flight cranks, with a Techmatic and DD spindle, Bullseye hubs laced 4X to Araya 7X, Comp IIIs, Hutch slanted deep H stem (eventually will swap for flying W) DX lever, MX 1000 with Skyway pads, Suntour seat clamp, XCII's, and 2 speed freewheel, Izumi chain, Brooks saddle, DeCoster grips. Very happy with this bike...I took the time to set everything up properly, and it shows in how well it rides.  Big thanks to ryanmason208, CRUZR ADDICT, and NOR CAL BOYZ.

Awesome looking build.  Love the Tough Guy Tan. cool cool cool

One thing, SE made unknurled seat posts back then.  The SE knurled posts showed up sometime during the next generation of frames.

Exactly why I mentioned it..7/8" knurled posts are a dime a dozen...this is the only 13/16" knurled post Ive ever seen.  Look it up, if you find info, please post it.  In 85, SE changed to 7/8" with the knurled post, and the decal that mine has...Why the hell was there a 13/16???

Re: 1982 SE Racing Floval Flyer 24

Definitely not the SE expert, I'd ask member Brian Hays if he knows about them.  He's my SE guru here.

I wonder if they made some 13/16" posts for the looptails right after the change over in '85.  Would make sense for them to offer a seat post for last years frame.

Still seriously pimp Floval. cool
