1993 Roadmaster Tribal Jonny Safari

I paid 50x more than the guy who got his for $1, but this thing was super clean and obviously barely ridden from the local Goodwill...so what could I do?

COVID quarantine is somewhat is over and the Goodwill opened up, and I'm new to this BMX collecting thing so there was this thing staring at me for $50 and it was super clean. I haven't even take a cloth to it. I think its because whoever put it together put the handlebars backwards for the rims, but at least someone threw it in a garage where it got no rain because this thing is sweet. I still don't know who Jonny Safari is but whatever, this thing looks like Miami Vice come to life as a BMX bike.

Lee Chee brakes, and the rest, I'm guessing whoever made the heaviest parts in 1993. Came with the lock and I'll figure it out or it'll stay until it's sold, if ever. Those handle bars are legit though and the stem looks like something cool.
Everything is still there except the front reflector which broke off when someone turned the forks around, but chain-guard and all...RAD. All I know is "informer" and UB40's "Can't Help Falling in Love" came out in '93 so this thing has some street cred.

Re: 1993 Roadmaster Tribal Jonny Safari

I found one of these in the stickerbushes probley was thwre for a good 10 years somw one took a can of gold paint to it called the local police department and they told me bike wasnt reported stolen so why dont I find a kid in the nigbour hood to give it to. So I akd the kid looked at me and said (and I quote) he was all of 11 years old. " dude I wouldnt be seen dead on that bike my grandpa just bought me a $700 subrosa blah blah" I said ok u ungreatful pip squeak ill keep it well I took back to the house and put it in the garage and little by little cleaned it up and it went back to orginal everything I took it down to the local boys and girls Club a few xmas ago and they always do a toy thing for low income familys each year well I talked to the director and its usally normally they only take brand new toys but the lady who picked the bike for her son happend to live about 5 blocks from me and the day ofter xmas I guess he was out riding around and all the neibour hood kids on the skateboards bikes amd scooters thought his bike was hella sick and the brat kid who didn't want it actually came to my house knocked on my door appogized for his disrepectul attitude and asked me if he gets another bike (he said a old beat up one from the thrift store ) if I could fix it up for him snd his dad would foot the bill lol I told him no problem and he about crapped his pants when. He seen in my living room the massive amounts of bike parts I have. So lesson learned on his part right I though it was funny as hell he got jelouse of the bike he coukd of had evem thoe it is a roadmaster it was still a cool looking bike even had sunn steel wheels and I think joytech hubs and a cool ass chain ring ( sorry lack of punctuation this old man isnt wearing glasses so hopefully the words are spelt correctly im just not going back to fix the puncations
