Looks great.  Nice job.  So was this color offered back in the 80’s as an option?

Yes it was a color back in the day not sure if it was offered in 1987 but it definitely was on the 1988 I particularly love this color it changes in the light when you bring it outside it has a more fluorescent white colour to it  I absolutely love it I have another white pft I am in the middle of building for my daughter that one's going to have the similar bells and whistles on as this 1

nice bike big_smile
I've never seen one of those rear platforms before?
Also, it looks like you polished the crank arms. Are they decals on them, or etched?

There is no age limit for fun. If it makes you smile and hurts no'one, have at it.

This color orange was never offered. There were two shades of day glo orange available in 86 on the pro performer frame sets. But they were a different shade of orange then this.

In 1988 they definitely had Day-Glo Orange and Day-Glo pink If you look in the museum there was a couple of framesets recently sold with the original decals in that color factory probably not the same shade due to years of sun damage but they did offer these colors back then

I had already bought the frameset complete restored and already had these decals on them and I actually fell in love with them but from my understanding yes these are the more expensive ones probably about $60 a set for the remakes they are high quality remakes a friend of mine makes these exact ones as well

This is where it currently is at has the correct 87 seat and it actually has 86 AME grips on their I do have the correct round AME grip survivors on the way no expense spared this thing is totally authentic absolutely no repop parts on it whatsoever most everything is restored wheels are 100% original but all the parts are from back in the day all the way down to the 80s chainring bolts and every face link stamped GT bubble font chain

Beautiful!! Did you have to drill extra holes in the extender to have it attach below the seat clamp? I love it's stance on that bike. Normally people put it above the seat clamp. Looks weird that way.
