1987 Robinson Pro Team Model

Mint 87 pro team, all factory specs., just the way it came from the shop BITD!

Picked this up on the museum from a great member, story is already out there, some lucky young kid's grandmother bought this for him BITD and he rode it 3 times and then moved away, it hung in an attic for 28 years before someone rescued it. This was my first BMX that I bought new back in spring 1987 and this bike is now 100% accurate to my original and it will remain my grail until you know when! All original to this preserved bike; -87 Robinson Pro team frame/ forks/ bars/ laid back post -DK XL stem -Black Ukai speedlines with GT race lace hubs -Mitsobishi COMP III original mint tires -GT power series cranks, GT disc and GT chain ring - SR Speedtrap MTB sealed bearing pedals (I love these things!) -DC 901 caliper with Tech 7 lever -GT Epoch headset -AME black bubble font grips Found from members on site that I am grateful to; -Original 87 Robinson Viscount black seat -Original 87 Robinson pad set

Re: 1987 Robinson Pro Team Model

What a find!! I've been trying to recreate my holy grail, an '88 Pro, but are struggling to find cranks, etc. Love this bike man.

Re: 1987 Robinson Pro Team Model

I added another photo of the original decals on this bike - Pro Team model, same as my pro team that I bought brand new back in 88, you have me second guessing now however and am going to investigate to be certain, I definitely don't want  to be misrepresentative in the description!  Thanks

94 and 87 have different markings. In 87, the only things different between the pro and pro team weee the wheels, cranks/pedals and the extra decal

Would love to find my old Dirt Bike.  It was stolen in Pompano Beach, Florida in about 1996.  It's a '92 with the block graphics on a Green frame.  Pitchforks, Slam bars, King Headset, GT (DK-style) stem and GT/Profile cranks.  Superlace hubs.  Would really love to put this back in my collection.

Love these “Romance stories” when finding a bike that you love. What are the chances, but you found “The Diamond in the Rough”. Sweet bike brother

Re: 1987 Robinson Pro Team Model

Wow, this thing is perfect.  Stoked for you.

I'm a big fan of the earlier R-gusset models, but the '87 is slowly making its way up to the top of my list.  I have three of them now, none of them as nice/complete as this one.
