1983 Raleigh Aero Pro Burner

Top of the line Burner from 1983

((SOLD))
This could be the most lusted after BMX in the UK & Ireland in 1983 - I myself was not immune!

After obtaining the frame and fork this past September 2015, I immediately went to work sourcing the parts that would have been original to this bike.I still need to build up the proper wheelset and snag another Kashimax/Raleigh Aero seat, but outside of that - OH! and the tires - I'm pretty much there.

Re: 1983 Raleigh Aero Pro Burner

Nice Raleigh build.  Didn't know these existed.  Don't think this model was heavily marketed in the States.  In 1983, as you likely know, Kuwahara, Cycle Pro, and another bike called Shogun with similar frame sets (aero tubes) were marketed in USA.  In early 80's, the Kuwahara had tough sell due the Japanese rising sun - but American kids were nutz-o over that frame style/set.

Again, really nice build.

Re: 1983 Raleigh Aero Pro Burner

Thanks! As far as I know this was strictly a UK Raleigh model available only in Europe, etc.
