1986 Haro Master
1986 Haro Master
This is how a friend payed me back for a favor. Hooked me up for $50. Nothing special but it's a master.
Just a random pick up my friend found. Asked me what it needed to restore it. After explaining it needed everything he felt overwhelmed. Offered it to me for $50. Done deal. Going to bring it to my 86 when some parts were replaced. Hopefully more pics. Will come later. I'm in no hurry. I need parts and money. Fast forward 1 year 3 months. Chrome on fork and rear are pretty bad. I wanted the 86 paint scheme but it was going to be quite a bit extra. After talking to Chip (C4) I decided to go with the full paint, 85 style. Paint is amazing but I can't get the color to really glow in this light. I built it to kind of replicate my 86 back in the day. Nothing special for parts but i think it came together pretty good. This will not look this good for long. I'm riding this thing. I can't get the stem all the way down because there is some kind of spiraling on the inside of the fork. I might replace it with a different stem, not sure.
Enjoy

Re: 1986 Haro Master
Awesome score.
I got paid back with a bike recently as well...wasn't nearly as cool as that, though.
Are you gonna' leave the paint OG? If I was to do anything, I'd just strip the paint off to chrome and snag a sticker set.
Would look awesome with matching black Tuff Wheels.
Personally, I'd just leave the paint as is and ride the sucker.

Paint is actually pretty bad. Whoever had it before, painted the seat post while it was in. I've tried the usual tricks but not moving. I'll get it though. It's going green but not all OG parts. I'm riding this thing.
