1983 Diamond Back Formula 1

Perfect in every way and restored to catalogue show condition. I've had this bike since new

this folks is my original race bike that I got in 1983, it sat around in my parents shed for many years before I got her out and brought is back to 1983 new condition when I picked it up off the bike shop show room floor. I think this is the best example of a 1983 formula 1 on this site and that I have seen to date and because of the history I had with it. I raced it between 1983 and 1987 winning many events, collecting a bunch of trophies, ribbon and winners plates.
The frame forks and bars are still original OG, cranks, wheels and rims have been re-chromed to show condition, brakes and hubs have been re-anodised in original color and I fitted a set of NOS comp 3 diamondback labelled tires (ultra hard to find, took 2 years of searching).

Thanks justapok, all parts expect grips and tires are the original parts that came with the
Bike when I purchased in new in 1983. The NOS comp3 diamond back labelled tires (rarest of rare) and 80's Oakley B-1B grips are bike correct and super sweet to compliment the bike back to exactly how it came

Re: 1983 Diamond Back Formula 1

Probably never get an answer here but I have a formula 1 with what looks like pink stickers.  Your main tube sticker appears to be pink-ish, the rest red.  Is that sun bleaching?  Was there a set of pink forumula 1 stickers?

Re: 1983 Diamond Back Formula 1

Was the Formula one purchasable with the turbo lite neck/sprocket?  I have this same bike minus the seat.  It has this neck and a regular sprocket (sprocket) same cranks.  Lower quality DB rims.  I am just trying to figure out what to do with the bike.
