2015 Colony Prody

Old school flare with all the new school amenities!

I'm not a huge fan of the new school designs. When I decided to build a new school flatlander I really wanted something with a top tube platform like an old school GT PFT or something mid school like a Hoffman Big Daddy. Once I saw the introduction of the Prody, I knew exactly what I was going to do! The layout of my build looks just like a black 88 PFT that I had back in the day. Everything was black or chrome except for the cables. I built the Prody to look the same way! I surrounded the frame with lots of Odyssey goodies like Chase Gouin bars, a Flatware stem, Odyssey headset, G-Sport rims and Frequency G tires. The brakes are Dia Compe all the way with Tech 77 levers and Hombre Calipers. In the interest of keeping the old school look, I installed a chrome lay back seat post and a NOS Powerlite seat that is the same 2188 Viscount seat as the 88-90 GT and Dyno seats. Front hub is a 48 spoke, Primo Pro with hollow 14mm axle. While the rear hub is a 48 spoke KHE Geisha Freecoaster! To tie this all together yet maintain my roots, I mixed in a little Primo Powerbite action along with some of Kevin Jones' Dividual flavor then topped it off with some KHE stimulators - which are Graphite-X copies. There ya go! Old school meets Mid school meets New School - I hope you like looking at it half as much as I like riding it!

Re: 2015 Colony Prody

I been wanting to build another flatland bike, but I wanted something with some older style.  Being 6'3" is tough on a 18.9" top tube.  I think I'm going to get a Prody.  Thanks for the inspiration.
