1987 GT Pro Freestyle Tour Team Model
1987 GT Pro Freestyle Tour Team Model
One of the Many " Grails" on my list. ( FS) Stamped 87' GT Pro Freestyle Tour TEAM Model
I always use to see the 87" GT Pro Freestyle Tour in BMX Plus when I was a kid and remember wishing I was from a rich family! LOL. Now That I am 35 years old and just crazy enough to spend my hard earned money on 20" bicycles from the 80's I now have one! Finally. So far my favorite build. There were a lot of rad bikes in those magazines and my sickness is getting stronger by the minute. Haro Master (Team Model), Redline RL 20 II, Dyno Pro Compe, all 87's just to name a few. It may take a while but my addiction is not going anywhere. Thanks for looking and enjoy the pics. Thanks and keep riding! Upgraded to White on White look. I like it much better!
I switched some more components around again. This is how the PFT looks currently..

Re: 1987 GT Pro Freestyle Tour Team Model
Yea KINGPIN The PFT Team Model is one of my top 3 bikes of all time. They are expensive to build if you are doing a Team Model, unless you know the right people. I mean just between the Super Laces Ukai hoops and Power Series Cranks I could have bought a cheap car! LOL. But I cant wait to see yours, when its done send me a pic. Shout out to Raiderzink, rampman73, caleb_k31 for the incredible lace job on my wheel set and MarksX5 for helping with the build. Couldnt do it with out you guys!

Good to see a tight, focused collection. I'm with you on '87. For me, that was the peak year of freestyle. The bikes from that year have some of the boldest design, colors and graphics. Seeing your 3 bikes lined up re-fired some dormant neurons in my brain! Thanks for sharing!

Re: 1987 GT Pro Freestyle Tour Team Model
The team model is awesome!!!! Are the pedals GT Old School?
Living in France, I'm here for improving my English, learning technical words for my 3rd hobby : BMX. Catching some pop/slang words/sentences is very interesting and instructive for me too.
The first two are bonsais and Betta splendens breeding. Far behind the love for my daughter of course.
Looking for friendship worldwide. PM me

Thanks rootsrobot! yea 87" was with out a doubt the best year for freestyle! I am glad I could spark some of those neurons. Next on the list is an RL 20 II hazzard Yellow.

Re: 1987 GT Pro Freestyle Tour Team Model
Whats up bomberman. No the pedals are actually NOS Odyssey VPX that I converted to 9/16 to fit my GT Power Series Cranks. But I got a little creative and used 88' GT seat post clamp decals to put on the caps. I think it came out pretty sick. Thanks for the compliment!

What's up rampman73, long time no see. The Super Laces and Ukais came out nicer then I thought and they spin for days. If you here about a ride coming up local or you have a minute to swing by and check out the collection shoot me a PM. you are welcome to swing threw whenever. Good to hear from ya.
