2011 Standard 125R
2011 Standard 125R
"Deep Blue," aka "Sharky"
It took me 42 years to build up a BMX bike from scratch exactly how I wanted it, but it was worth the wait. This was the bike that convinced me that for competitive riding, New School is the only way to go. My goal with this bike was to keep the weight down and the U.S. parts content up as much as possible. I may yet build up some all-American wheels (Profile/Velocity/Wheelsmith), but in the meantime, the Mavic wheels add a little Euro flair and are at least, according to a sticker, "assembled in the U.S.A." I rode Mavic rims as a roadie, and they make some of the best rims in the business for all cycling disciplines. These are no exception.
This bike has made me a better racer like being a family man has made me a better human being. Sometimes the company you keep inspires you to work harder and do better.
We few, we happy few, we band of brothers; / For he to-day that sheds his blood with me / Shall be my brother ... / gentlemen ... now-a-bed / Shall think themselves accurs’d they were not here / And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks / That fought with us

Sorry to bump an old post, but what size chainring is that? I am considering a 46 or 47x17 setup on my 125r build and was wondering how clearance is. Your chainring looks big'ish so I figured I'd ask.

took him 42 years to build the bike - I wouldn't hold my breath on a timely reply
When you come upon one of the many crossroads of life, ask yourself - "what would Perron do"
