2012 SE Racing Ripper Jr

"Ajax," aka "Soldier" --

Travels light, hits hard

This is my PK Ripper Jr.  There are many like it, but this one is mine.
Actually, it's my son's ... his first "real" race bike.  I guess you can build a more elaborate rig for a 9I, but you'd be hard-pressed to find a better all-around value or performer.  Ed at Planet BMX gave me a screaming deal on this, and it has served its purpose well.  The components, while nothing fancy, have performed flawlessly.  The workmanship on the Chinese-made frame and fork are ... well, workmanlike.  The bike is scary light, and while lacking some of the pizazz of the Redlines, it's still a good-looking scoot.
The modern PKs may not have the cachet of their forebears, but the name is still adorning some very solid completes that can be raced right out of the box.

We few, we happy few, we band of brothers; / For he to-day that sheds his blood with me / Shall be my brother ... / gentlemen ... now-a-bed / Shall think themselves accurs’d they were not here / And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks / That fought with us
