1980 Mongoose Motomag

I wanted this bike when I was a kid but I rode strictly Redline.

I finally have my first Goose after 30 years. I built this up to submit for the 2013-2014 calendar contest. If I win and get in its a win and if I lose I still win because I love this bike. All paint and restoration work on Frame, Fork, Stem, and Seat Post Clamp done by Cruesixx69. I couldn't have gotten this finished without the help and support of some great members. So to my brothers, robk131313, ANTDOG, Stevenbven, Adombone, Jerzey Devil, SmokinEndo, and SupergooseScrambler. Thanks for everything guys.

Yes it does look that way doesn't it! I have a surprise for him for Christmas. I am in the process of building him a BMX Bandit Mongoose tribute bike. He thinks its just another one of my builds. I am using a 81' Team Goose frame and I almost have all the parts. I will be sending frame fork and v bars to the chrome guy in a few days. All I need is Blue Mag's, Tires, and the Mongoose screen printing on the blue pad set I have. He is going to be over the moon on this one big_smile

Glad to hear you survived cancer. There are a few of us here on the museum. I love all BMX Products with Mongoose being my favorite. So we do have a few things in common big_smile Crue

Re: 1980 Mongoose Motomag

You did this up right!  White and blue are a potent color combo.  cool

Got a '79 frame in the garage right now that belongs to my brother.  Deciding between white or candy blue finish for it.

Thanks brother. My son and I had a great time building it. We are Mongoose fanatic's. This whole build was built around the Blue Snake bellies. That's why we chose blue for the accents. The white came after we found the white Tuf Neck seat post. I kind of whish we would have found a straight post because I think the drainpipe post hurt us in the voting. Oh well we got an awesome Goose out of it none the less big_smile I would say you can go wrong with either of your color choices cool Good luck with your Free Agent. I cant wait to see it done. big_smile Take care brother, Crue

Wow!  I absolutely love the build and especially the color combination.  The Goose looks sick with those ACS Z Mags!  A very nice job indeed!

Re: 1980 Mongoose Motomag

Beautiful Goose indeed.  The white just pops with the other color choices.  Love the mixture of the black and blue together big_smile
