Fantastic Racing Bike
I had one of these back in the day and now I had made it a priority to build one up. You see see my racing plate that I won in 1984 on the bike.
Picked up most of the parts from ebay over the past few months. At the moment it sports a set of Araya high flange wheels however I just picked up a geniune set of wheels that I will restore and fit to the bike.
Frame: Full Chromoly. Three Main Tubes Double Butted
Forks: Chromoly (Butted) - reduced length
Handlebars: Diamond Back Chromoly (medium oversize)
Stem: Diamond Back / F1 Hinged Top - Turbo Smoke Finish (Sugino)
Grips: F-1 Black/Grey (Oakley)
Headset: MTX, cups, top race, locknut - Turbo Smoke Finish (Tange)
Rims: New 7x 20x1.50 (N), Chrome Plated (Araya) - Still to fit
Spokes: 80g Black/Brass Double Butted, Chrome plated
Hubs: DB Sealed, Turbo Smoke Finish (Suzue)
Tyres: Comp III 1.75 front, Turbo-Lite Comp III 1.50 rear (Mitsubboshi) - Still to fit
Brakes: 890 rear (Dia-Compe)
Levers: Tech III (Dia-Compe)
Cable: (Dia-Compe)
Pedals: XC-II Chromoly Axle (Suntour)
Crank: DB CT Chromoly 3 Piece 175mm ,Spider - Turbo Smoke Finish (Sugino)
Bottom Bracket: Chromoly Bottom Bracket Axle
Chainring: 44T Alloy (Sugino)
Freewheel: 16T Chrome plated (Suntour)
Chain: 3/32 Rustless Chrome Plated (D.I.D)
Seat: Diamond Back F-1 5 Gold (Kashimax)
Seat Post: Diamond Back F-1 Chrome Plated semi fluted (STRONG)
Seat Post Clamp: Diamond Back F-1 Turbo Smoke Finish (SR)

thanks for the looks and comments, I just picked up an original set of F1 rims and brakes that will go on soon.
