1994 ELF Doublecross 24

Extra Light Frame.(ELF) this is fast becoming a rare bike and for sure not seen at the track anymore. The Doublecross rear end makes it super stiff and forces power to the ground. i love this build.

I purchased the Frame Fork & Bars from Marvingarden here in the Museum who also happens to live right here in my hometown of Santa Barbara. This 1 has been well taken care of over the years sense its birth in Ken Pendergrafts (owner/Manufacturer of ELF) garage all those years ago in southern california. Started in 1981 making a super light and small bike for his son and his friends, the mini/jr was born. being so light the name stuck ELF(extra light frame). These guys had breakthrough products like the 6 piece blast bars,2 piece seatpost(zipback) and of course the super stiff doublecross rear end. After several good years of awesome colors and inovative ideas the busniess went under in 1998.S&M purchased there Tools and last i herd someone in france is making Elf named products..
The bike I built with all of your help..

Wow Holly Cow that ELF is so sweet.  I've owned a 24" ELF before and yours is like its older brother.  With the Double X rear and chrome finish so so pretty.   Looks like you know whats up with your build so I'm going to shut up and let the bike to the rest of the talking.  KILLER!!!!

Re: 1994 ELF Doublecross 24

So much to love about this bike!  Awesome build brother!big_smile
I was driving through downtown Riverside last month and a bicyclist caught my eye....turned out to be some guy riding an old 20" doublecross...almost crashed staring at it!  The guy looked like he just grabbed it to go buy a 40!lol

There's no help for this Museum Junkie!
