Re: 2011 Standard STA 500
Here is a repost of Diablo's original post in the catchall:
DISCLAIMER: OUT OF RESPECT TO JOHN DEBRUIN AND HIS ACQUIRED HUTCH NAME THIS CUSTOM FRAME MAY APPEAR TO BE THE SAME DESIGN AS THE ORIGINAL 80’S HUTCH TRICK STAR BUT IT IS NOT. I DESIGNED IT TO MY OWN SPECS USING SEVERAL DIFFERENT MEASUREMENTS AND GEOMETRY FIGURES FROM THE BEST HANDLING BIKES OF THE MID 90’S SUCH AS THE HOFFMAN BIG DADDY, THE STANDARD TAO / SHORTY, AND THE MORALES FLATLAND FRAME.
NOT ONE SINGLE SECTION ON THIS FRAME IS THE SAME AS A HUTCH TRICK STAR IN TUBING SIZE, LENGTH OR DIAMETER..…..NOT ONE.
AFTER VIEWING THESE PHOTOS YOU MAY NEED TO TAKE A FEW WEEKS OFF WORK TO RECOVER FROM THE SHEER AWESOMENESS EXHUBERATED BY THE FOLLOWING PICS….YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
My goal with this build was to have a modern day bike with old/mid school styling that I could just totally thrash on and not have to worry about breaking anything that would cost a fortune to replace. As most of you know I had started building a Futuristic Black Woody Itson Tribute Trick Star but gave up on the project in fear of destroying the frame or other expensive parts and instead have decided to make the move to a new school build. I am not a new school rider though, still use both brakes and prefer a mid-school type setup, which is exactly what I have achieved here……well, enough blabber……enjoy the pics……

Re: 2011 Standard STA 500
WOOOOOOOOOW! Flatland specific weapon dream machine!
I hope one day your design hit the market and Standard Bykes decide to mass production this beauty for fellows flatlanders around the world!
Standard is the best of the best they should do consider bringing their new strong and lightweight tech to the flatland newcomers and old timers back to this era.
After checking your bike i decided to put together my Standard Shorty and build it up using the best yet parts and geometry to save weight and comfortable enough to ride that beast once again!
Check out my bikes pretty soon!
Nice job man! I'm Breathless!!!!!!

Re: 2011 Standard STA 500
Thank you!
Just saw your bikes.....I almost bought a Subrosa Pandora DTT right before I built this bike.
I really do hope Standard or anyone for that matter will produce a new school bike with old school geometry like this.
