1996 S&M Holmes

My childhood dream bike realized!

The S&M Holmes was my dream bike growing up. When I ended up getting one in Highschool it was the Next Generation model—which is quite a bit different from the original. A while back I picked up this frame with plans of slowly building it up. I recently swapped another frame I had lying around for the remaining pieces in the build. It's not completely time-period correct, nor do I care. It certainly serves it's nostalgic purposes and it's a blast to ride.

Frame: S&M Holmes oversized
Fork: S&M Pitchfork
Bars: S&M Slam
Stem: S&M Redneck
Headset: FSA
Post: XS
Clamp: Generic
Seat: Kore (Turbo replica)
Crank: DK
Sprocket: Animal
Chain: Shadow
Pedals: Haro
Wheels: Alex rims, Salt Pro hubs
Tires: Primo Dirt Monster, Fly Alcantara
Brakes: DiaComp 990s
Grips: ODI Longnecks
Extras: S&M Padset

Some times it's just enough to know your better than every one around you.

In the end, after all the b/s and the this and that and tryin to live and do the right thing, you really truely are all alone.

Man tries to rob Bike Shop (True Story):
Santiago Alvarado, 24, was killed as he fell through the ceiling of a bicycle shop he was burglarizing. Death was caused when the long flashlight he had placed in his mouth to keep his hands free rammed into the base of his skull as he hit the floor.
