Re: 1979 SE Racing P.K. Ripper
Nice bike for sure, but why did you restore it with a non-factory color. It surely is a rare frame, but somehow I can't get my head around the late '80s type of finish it's sporting now. I am not a purist, but this bike deserves a proper finish.

Re: 1979 SE Racing P.K. Ripper
Wow, fantastic job on the build.. the headbadge looks nice on there, and Chrome ripper decals sweet..
Sometimes adding a few personal touches really works..I have some orange alloy caps if you need some?
Cheers,
GAry

Re: 1979 SE Racing P.K. Ripper
Wow thanks guys that was quick.
First let me say hello to Gazzz and Kicks,
The frame came from a forum member and it was already painted orange.
I am at heart a purist and have always had in mind to paint this bike red (hence the red valve caps),however it looks super clean in fluro orange and well ive moved on to 77 proline
Gary any comments from you are truly welcome and thanks for the offer on the valve caps but im sweet at the moment.
Please note i have a set of Wing bars to go on this bike now and will update pics in the comeing months.
What i do need is a frame pad for this set.
Any help guys is appreciated.

Re: 1979 SE Racing P.K. Ripper
As i said before this frame arrived orange and its a fantastic coat of paint.
The beauty of bikes is we can always change parts and colours, especially on bikes that were primarily sold as frame sets.
Its a bit harder to express ones personality on say a Motomag which was sold as a complete bike.
For the record the hottest bike at my local track in 82 was flurecant Orange PK with gold parts

Re: 1979 SE Racing P.K. Ripper
I take it you like it
So I shouldn't strip it and rebuild it just yet

I love it. If it were me...I wouldn't change a thing. Plus, you already have a red one so why mess with a good thing.

Re: 1979 SE Racing P.K. Ripper
Thanks
It's only that it's a rare round top that compels me to paint it a factory colour
Thanks for looking
