1982 CYCLE PRO BONZAI 24
This was my first build when I decided to get into this hobby.The last BMX bike I owned before moving on to road and mountain bikes was a Cycle Pro 24. I started digging around this site and found some Cycle Pro bikes and decided that I would build one to ride and goof around with. I found this frame and forks still in the box along with all the parts on this bike,everything is NOS.
It took me almost a year of searching for the perfect parts to complete it and it's what really got me started in the hobby. I enjoyed building this bike so much that I really had to do a couple more. I originally intended to only build this one and we all know what happens then!!! Ha Ha Ha... ("good luck with that right!!) It has never been ridden,it's just too nice to beat up. I have other bikes that I can ride and this one is the proverbial "carpet queen".
I'm glad to be able to add to the limited Cycle Pro bike section here on the museum. I know that Cycle Pro did not have a huge following, but you got to admit that this one looks decent.
I have to thank one buddy in particular for hooking me up with the NOS Shotgun II seat. Thanks Bro,you know who you are!!!
The seat finished it off complete...

I'm thinking about swapping out the KKT pedals on this bike and am looking for a set of NOS blue Cycle Pro pedals...
Should I bother, or not? I just figure that it would be cool to have the right pedals if I can get them relatively cheap...
Does anyone out there have a set that they would be willing to part with?

Congrats, that is a beautifull build. Even better when there are happy childhood memories to go with it.
As for the pedals, the ones you got on there now are more then adequate, but I know what it's like to have something at the back of your mind nagging away at you
