1996 Mongoose Aftershock

Another mid-school oddity

I picked up this bike off of ebay and it was in need of some love. The shock mount was cracked so I sent it off to the frame doctor for a repair.  I have too many projects right now, so this one is on the back-burner, I just wanted to share.  It is a pretty unique design with a "air-shock" that you could pump up for stiffness.  In the first picture the frame is shown with a answer pro fork for the "full-suspension" ride.  I'll build this up some day and then I'll update the pics.

Re: 1996 Mongoose Aftershock

I owned two of these. Both ended up locking up and stopped being suspension. Mongoose warrantied both. I got the carbon fiber frame after that... then the carbon Mongoose became a carbon Huffy the next year. I miss my carbon Mongoose. and miss many other bikes. Oh de memories!
