1983 Skyway T/A
1983 Skyway T/A
Parted and sold (like a idiot)!!!
Picked it up recently off the bay. Yeah I paid for it but I wanted a few of the parts for some other builds, so over all the price worked out fair. Frame and Fork in great shape except for some light engraving in some obvious places. Will probably end up powdering because of it. Damn paranoid parents!

Sweet. If I were you, I'd leave that bike as is and use it as a rider.
Go out and practice some tricks on it rather than parting it out or trying to powder it into a carpet queen.
I recently devoted an old classic like that (85 Hutch Wind Styler) into a rider, rather than a project, and I'm so happy I did. Nothing cooler than thrashing around the neighborhood on a classic I'm not too afraid to ride.
Sure I'll look like a bear at the circus, but I'll get a little fun out of it.

Re: 1983 Skyway T/A
I thought of leaving it as is but it has some issues, and really looks better in the pictures! I need the Tuffs for my Redline build, the blue Tuf Neck went on my GT as well as the blue Kashi. It's gonna get the complete like new rebuild, but trust me IT WILL BE RIDDEN!!! Actually I liked the feel of it so much I may sell off my retro 20" quad and race this! Looking for some Skyway Race bars if anyone has them:cool:

Super nice Skyway t/a!! Would be a tragedy to part out or powercoat or not ride.. Too cool!! But overall, it's your bike and do what makes you happy. Riding every day & enjoying it would be awesome. Good luck with the restorations.
