1983 Kuwahara Laserlite
1983 Kuwahara Laserlite
My childhood dream bike #1
Fall in love with Laserlite since I was a kid, got this teardrop frame on Jan spent 4 months hunting down the parts from US, UK, AUS, Hong Kong and Malaysia. Used & NOS parts mixing piece. This may be my final build cos the flight crank is consider expensive for me ATM. Hope you guys like it.
Used parts: Tange made 1982 KZ83 Frame, Kuwahara Laser Bar, Kuwahara Laser Post, Suntour Seat Clamp, Suntour Stem, Suntour Headlock, Suntour XCII Pedals, Suntour Sealed Bearing Low Flange Hubs, Suntour 16T Freewheeel, Araya Aero Rims, Kuwahara OPC made by Takagi, Kuwahara Power Disc, Takagi 44T Chainring, Takagi BB, DC Tech 3 Lever, DC MX 1000 Caliper.
NOS parts: Elina Seat, Kuwahara IRC Tires, Tange Grips, Izumi Chain, Tange ARX Fork.

Well, that's really gorgeous. It's clear that you were dedicated to the result, and not an easy task for sure. Enjoy it!

Re: 1983 Kuwahara Laserlite
Awesome Laserlite. That BB I'm getting from you is going onto my Laserlite build. I finally got my favourite childhood ride again after many years. I'm putting DB Turbo cranks onto mine. Okay, not original for a Kuwi, but I think it would look great.
NEEDED: Hutch magnesium rear hub; Suntour High Flange rear black hub
Keep it rad bru!!!!
If you're not having fun, then you're doing it wrong.

Re: 1983 Kuwahara Laserlite
I love this bike How much did it cost to build it and what did you pay before you built it if you bought just the frame Im looking at one right now and its looking like around 5-800 to build it with killer parts I figured almost everything is around hundred plus for bars neck)(,crank chain,)(tires brakes)(seat post) pads stickers etc What do you think
