1982 Redline Proline
FACTORY CUSTOM PROTOTYPE FRAME
This frame has been documented on this website and on ozbmx.
It is believed to have been welded at the Queensland redline licenced factory in around 82-83 (the factory was only licenced to weld MX11 from kits supplied via America and Japan)
Prolines were never officially welded in Australia
It has different geometry to frames from that era and there are no stamps markings or dates.
NOTE:The top tube is almost flush with the head tube and the front gusset is completly flush with the bottom of the head tube.
The frame was nickle coated and then brass coated from the factory. It is believed to have been made for a bike shop in brisbane as a gift to the shop owner for volume sales where it sat as a trophy in the bike shop for many years.
Bars ,post ,stem and cranks are all unrestored
Pedals ,pads ,seat, clamp, grips, tyres, headset were nos parts when fitted
Brakes ,rims and hubs have been restored.
This is truly a one of a kind and has been confirmed by Redline Australia (Thanks for the detective work Roy,much appreciated)
Thanks for looking
