1984 Mongoose Californian

Couldn't find the right deal on a Supergoose but managed to get this Californian put together when my brother came across the frame & fork set for sale on CL for $30. Of course the frame didn't look this good...  Amazing what about 4 hours of work and some Mothers Polish can do!

Bike has been transformed a couple time.  I first put on new Black Tuff Wheel II's but I have since changed the bike to rims. Some Mid school parts here and some NOS parts as the old cranks were rusty and the frame didn't have a Gooseneck that matched.  I had a buddy with a Powerlite Gosseneck.  I really like the shape of the Powerlite Gooseneck so went with it.  bike has a Shot Gun Seat, Pro Class Seat Clamp, Shark Bite peddles, Real Rear Dia Compe MX 900 Brake with the dial, Polished Profile, GT 3 piece Cranks with sealed bearings, all in all a pretty cool bike, at least I like it.  Just added a Tange Seiki Headset and took the Tuff II's off and put Polished Aluminum 1986 model Sun Rims with sealed GT Hubs on! Looks pretty darn good! My daily rider when the kids are riding...
