1983 ELF 24

Very rare, early ELF

The story goes...2 cruisers were built by ELF (I would assume by Mr. Pendergraft) in 83 for factory rider Brian Lewis. One has been on the museum for a while, but has changed hands a couple of times, and not sure who owns it... it is very clean, and s/n 068301. Mine was raced, and should be the sister to #01. Shes not as pretty, but she has a great personality! Notice the difference in head tube angle (mine is 72.5) where the untouched frame is VERY steep. The decal on the headtube is from the Summer Racing Series 1984, which I believe was an ELF sponsored event. Would make sense that factory guys would be there. Decal has been there since mod was done, this is why I believe its a mod, not a repair. I am just repeating what Ive learned, if you know anything different about the history of this bike, please post. Bike is 100% mechanically sound after building, and rides awesome...feels like a 20", but rolls like a 24". Everything but the spokes is original 80s...tell me what you think. Pics from the Summer Racing Series 1984 are the best way to prove/disprove this story...PLEASE post some if you have any
