BMXmuseum.com Bikes / TRS / 1985 TRS (Trick Race and Street)

This is a TRS (Trick Race and Street) this was my last ride in 1986, My Schwinn Sponsorship was over but David Little and His Father built some bikes. The Little’s lived in Stillwell Kansas, About 30 Miles South of Kansas City. This is a 20" XL. I believe Boss was contracted to build this bike for TRS. TRS also offered 24" bikes and pit bikes. Now he is the kicker. They also had bikes with multiple dropouts. So you could buy a 20" race bike and put 16" wheels on it for the pit bike class. And they had a 24" bike you could run 20" Wheels. That way you could buy one bike and an extra set of wheels and race two classes. This bike is not one of them. There might be some people out there that remember somebody winning the 16 & Over Open Class on one with 16" wheels in Springfield MO or Joplin MO. I’m not sure where. If the track had been 6" Longer I would have finished in 2nd Place, It was a good time. Original Equipment.: GT Pro Bars, A’ME TRI Grips, Flying W Stem, MX 1000 Brakes Front and Rear, White Shimano DX Pedals, Dia-Comp Spider. The Following Items showed up in 1999 to help put her back on the track. 40 Spoke Wheels from a Huffy Bomber, Fat Boy Seat. And 175 Red Line Cranks from Dan’s Comp. I would like to restore her someday. But we all have a bike like that.
