1980 SE racing PK Ripper first run f/f

Actual email:

I love your website! I purchased my PK Ripper in
1980. I was just a kid back then. I grew up down the
street from SE Racing in Long Beach,California and
raced at the same tracks as factory riders,,Harbor BMX
and Ascott. Anyway, I only watched those guys. I was
in the lower level ABA pee-wee races back then. I
noticed that SE made a mini-ripper, which is not the
same as my old school model! Your SE webpage has a
missing area in PK history it seems and I can help by
providing my frame pic of a true old school mini
ripper frame. You are completely free to use it on
your webpage.
You show an old PK Ripper looptail frame, then a
mini version directly below it. Yet, that pic of the
mini is really not the true mini looptail version of
the PK from 79-80. Infact, the old full size looptail
you show is old, yet it does have the later reinforced
head tube because of that old frame crack issue,,so it
is an 82+ frame. The frame I have is a 79-80 first run
mini ripper looptail with no reinforced head tube,,as
you can see in the pic. Anyway, hope the pic helps
out,,I will send you a pic of a first run full size
looptail without headtube/upper bar reinforcement if I
ever find one. The bikes lacking the reinforcement are
the true original PK'S!! My frame serial number is:
MR53754

Sincerely,
James H.
