1998 Ruption SRI
Ruption SRI built up with old and new parts
Budget build (approx £70 in total ($140 US))
Original Bike: Ruption TX5 (approx year 2000)
Donor parts (all Ruption):
Wheels/Innertubes/Tyres/Pegs/Bars/Grips/Stem/Seat/Seat Clamp/Bottom Bracket/Crank Arm
New Parts:
Ruption SRI frame/44t Chainwheel/Seatpost/Odyssey Modulever brake lever and upper cable/Lower Cable/KMC Chain/Ruption Pedals/Headset
Threaded forks and stem are 1". I have used a 1 1/8" headset combined with a 1" headset and the necessary spacers/washers to get the forks to fit. Original seat post was 26mm so I replaced with the correct 25.4mm to fit the new (older) frame. The chainwheel was rusty so this was replaced. The bearings in one of the pedals were no good so I replaced with new Ruption pedals. The bottom bracket bearings were also past their best, so these were replaced with some from a friends old bike.
