1995 Morales Flatland
Best Flatland Bike Ever
This bike was my main riding maching through the 1990s. Great geometry for Flatland, Street, and Ramps. Very unique design and size. Steeper Headtube angle for the time. Refined Twin Top Tubes (ala Haro Master / Torker).. nice Seat Stay 990 Mounts (one of the first of it's generation to introduce this feature - besides the RL20-II of course).
I have mine set up with mostly 1990's Haro Parts. Haro Knee Saver2 bars. 1991 Fusion disc. Diacompe 990's and Nippons. DK Freestyle Inverted Stem for low center.. and light weight. I had Peregrine Super Pro 48s on here.. but transferred them over to another project. I'll put new wheels on it soon. And the Fork is from a 1989 GT Pro Freestyle Tour. But I'll be putting my S&M Pitch Forks on it soon.
Here's a bit of History: This is actually one of the first flatland specific frames ever, designed by Bob morales, with input from Jesse Puente, edgar and ivan placencia, and richard zabzdyr, of graveyard bikes and members of the flatland fugitives. The Morales frame had the best rear tringle I've ever ridden, Great foot clearance for scuffing. These were really popular withn hardcore flatlanders in 1993-1998.
