1983 Mongoose Supergoose 3
Top bike "re born"
In my youth I raced BMX bikes in the NW of England and the Supergoose 3 was the best I ever had raced and lead me to win many trophys and tiles. My bike had many hop ups but was stolen around 1987 and I never got back into BMX again due to other distractions. I came across this bike on Ebay but it required some attention to restore it to its glory. I have not took it back to fully orginal status but styled it to my likeing with some other mongoose parts (chain ring, seat Etc). It has orginal frame and it is the orginal chrome but is starting to fade around the crank (see pictures) I cannot work out the date from the serial number I3000973 , where it was built or what forks it needs as the ones on the bike are not orginal. Other info: Original Pro-class 3 wheels with new "Mongoose blur" tyres Original Mongoose frame pad Full gyro on Mongoose stem Handle bars Dia-compe Bulldog brakes Ruption 175mm crank with mongoose disc Mongoose seat ETC. Not used are: parts that were originally fitted to the Supergoose in 1983: Original fit pro-class stem Original fit pro-class disc Original fit Diacompe MX semi automatic, self-centering brakes Rear wheel mounting on the frame has been strengthened due to ramp use. Any questions or comments are welcome.
