1979 Mongoose Regular SOLD
Bridging the gap between my Schwinn collection and my BMX collection.
My first BMX (after destroying my sisters grape krate hand-me-down) was a nickle Supergoose. I didn't care much for it either cause I still wanted a bike with hand brakes! I got this in a 3 bike deal from ?javs? via C-list. I added some Mushroom grips, traded the stamped '79 crank for a much less rusty Mongoose 1 piece, added a washer to get the chain off the frame, put the red anno fluted post and blue Velo seat in my parts box, took the surface rust off the back rim (easily), cleaned and lubed the hubs, cranks and headset and now it's all ready to collect dust hanging in my basement! I left the rust on the front rim for a rainy day I guess.
