This old bike has been completely put together in a year’s time. I purchased the frame in late November in 2006, from a great person while I was living in
Miami
. Both the frame and forks show signs of wear and tear but there they are structurally sound. The paint and stickers are the original ones. I wanted to restore the bike to look as it rolled out of the factory in Japan over two decades ago, but as I recalled most of us into the sport we changed things a bit, constantly striving to get the best and most recent parts we could get our parents or ourselves to buy with our savings. For the most part this bike contains new old school accessories. Aside from the frame and forks, the only other used parts are the seat the brake caliper.
Built with Tange frame and fork, Tioga Bear-Trap headset with Suntour locking nut, Araya 7X rims with Sunshine hubs, Shimano freewheel, Shimano pedals, Suntour chainring, Sugino chainring bolts, Azumi chain, Sugino 175 mm cranks, Tioga Sealed bearing bb, Tuf Neck stem, Shimano DX brake lever, Dia-Compe MX-900 rear brake with Kool-Stop brake pads and fins, Suntour seat post clamp, SR fluted seat post, Pro-Max seat, Redline V bars, and Mushroom grips. The only parts that do not correspond to the era are the tires.
