Bottema used to break a lot of forks, so he decided start his own
company to build stronger ones.
The distinctive way the tube goes past the dropout is purely for
looks, and makes them very distinctive.
These forks became very popular in he '80s with 2 models available,
a heavier version for Skatepark riders, and a lighter one for racers.
I still need a set myself for the BMXMUSEUM, if any has a set out
there?
